How to Support the Flourishing of Students Who Have Faced Adversity
My capstone project sought to discover how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) impact the health and well-being of an individual. I created a pamphlet that could potentially be used in school settings to aid educators who find themselves teaching students who have endured adversity in their young lives. My research was done under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Cindy Bergeman in the Adult Development and Aging Lab at the University of Notre Dame and Professor David Lantigua.
