Moving People from Poverty to Possibility: Solidarity with South Bend

-

Location: Geddes Hall Coffee House

Brown bag lunch discussion with Matt Harrington, president and CEO United Way of St. Joseph County

Beverages and cookies provided.

Did you know that 40% of the households in our local county are struggling to afford life’s most basic needs? Matt Harrington will talk about new approaches to social change that have engaged people and organizations together, in solidarity, to address this pressing need in our community. In doing so, this Poverty Initiative seeks to provide struggling families adequate supports and opportunities to move them from poverty to possibility. Join us for a discussion of local initiatives to address poverty in the Geddes Hall Coffee House. Sponsored by Center for Social Concerns; cosponsored by Office of Public Affairs and Communications.
