Building an Anti-Racist Vocabulary
Join the Klau Center for Civil and Human Rights as Nikole Hannah-Jones, BA '98, explores her groundbreaking "1619 Project" and the important subject of reparations. Ms. Hannah-Jones is a domestic correspondent for The New York Times Magazine focusing on racial injustice and a recent MacArthur Genius grant winner. Her extensive reporting in both print and radio on the ways segregation in housing and schools is maintained through official action and policy has earned a Pulitzer Prize, a National Magazine Award, a Peabody, and a Polk Award.
Building an Anti-Racist Vocabulary is a weekly lecture series presenting preeminent scholars, thought leaders, and public intellectuals to guide our community through topics necessary to a deeper understanding of systemic racism and racial justice.
Lectures are available to the Notre Dame community via Zoom. Registration with a valid nd.edu or alumni.nd.edu is required.
